Rancher Revived
Kalispell MT
Rancher Revived was a complete remodel project, both interior and exterior, for a sweet ranch style home in Kalispell Montana. My clients were downsizing from a large ranch and sprawling home to a one level, smaller acreage property. Upon purchasing the property, they loved the home’s floor plan but envisioned a more rustic open concept, fully updated with smart home technology.
The couple was retired and had traveled extensively for many years, having hunted around the world and they dreamed of featuring their trophies and collections of travel memories throughout the home. Every single wall inside was stripped of sheet rock to expose the framing and add new electrical and plumbing throughout.
Additionally, all new systems such as security, lighting, water systems, and central air were completely updated and installed. From the floors up, this home came alive with rustic wood flooring, fresh tile and bath fixtures, custom cabinetry and built ins, light granite countertops, powered window coverings, new windows and doors, and refinished furnishings.
My clients were spending the winter down South in their second home, so we were able to complete the entire project in their absence. Their expansive shop was filled with their collected artwork, décor, and mounts so we were left with only three days to fully furnish the home. A crew arrived to assist with placing the furniture, while we made a mad dash to hang artwork and mounts, move their belongings into closets, and fully stock the kitchen and built ins. They were hoping to simply come home, unlock the door and live comfortably that first day.
My clients were thrilled with the remodeled interior and after settling in, we began the second phase of the update and added rustic appeal to the exterior with new paint, new architectural roofing, custom ranch style railings, lighting, and fresh landscaping. My clients love this completed project so much that they have decided this home is their last. This has now become their year-round residence and they have since sold their second home in the South.
